Hoping this year will be calm and that we'll simply have some time to enjoy our new life Brooklyn–here is to hoping!!!
It's already been a tough start to the year since everyone has been sick almost the whole month of January! Poor Rylan was diagnosed with her very first ear infection. I think we are finally on the mend.
Anyway, I feel like I've neglected updating some of Rylan's developmental progress and general story. Presently, she is non-stop talking in sentences and adding new words to her vocabulary everyday–wow! A very stark difference to Sophia at the same age. She has started to assert her dislikes and again is very vocal. She likes to pretend that she can jump up and down. I just love asking her to do this and watch her bend and flex her knees–she gets so excited! Her general comprehension is amazing and continues to shock me!
She and Sophia love having each other to be with. The two of them fill me with so much love and happiness. I couldn't be a luckier mom–of course they do also drive me totally crazy on a daily basis. The irony of parenting!
Sophia continues to participate in her co-op preschool, Busy Bees. She is also taking an art class and a pop action dance class. Generally she's doing great and has been making great strides in learning her numbers, letters, and colors. We'll be starting the preschool application soon for this fall. Yes, it seems soon, but it's NYC. I hope that she gets a spot, but we won't know until July or August. Her entrance to school will mean a whole new chapter has begun, for now we'll just have to sit and wait... and hope!
