We had a wonderful passover celebration hosted by Mimi and Pop-pop. It was wonderful for so many reasons––great company (which included Nonna and GG & the Syracuse Neulander clan), generous hosts, new and old memories. I just loved watching the girls run around with their cousins, it was really was magical. It feels like yesterday I was doing the same thing––good times! I never dreamed that watching this event would make me feel so warm and thankful!

We had great fun celebrating Sage's birthday this year, especially since Sophia loves loves birthdays and could not wait to celebrate her Daddy's! To mark the occasion we went to local spot
Fushmi––it's basically an upscale very flashy Japanese restaurant. We thought the kids would enjoy the experience––we all had fun! Of course it wouldn't be a truly complete birthday if we didn't get a little adult time. The following night Sage and I went on a date. We hit a few places around Union Square (Union Square Cafe and BLT) for some nice wine and oysters––yum!
Now that we've settled into life here (at least a little) we've decided do a little more exploring. Recently, we ventured to the NYC Transit Museum, the
Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO and
The High Line. The girls would keep us going back to DUMBO, since it has a really cool play ground and a carousel right on the river surrounded by glass––pretty awesome! Actually, everyday Rylan asks if we can ride the "hor-sie" (smile).
